A cool year, although not as much as 2002, which produced an elegant and taut Sassicaia. The color is a bright garnet and the aromas balsamic, ‘Bordeaux-esque’, with notes of eucalyptus, bon bon anglais (chocolate and mint), blackcurrant and sweet spice. The mouthfeel is taut with a nice acidity that makes it agile and nicely drinkable. The finish is subtle yet persistent.
