Sassicaia 2002

Never was a vintage so controversial. Or perhaps no vintage has ever been less talked about. No, I’m not crazy, or even schizophrenic. When they merely hear people talk about 2002, some wine drinkers show huge signs of distaste and pooh-pooh it without a second thought. Some producers offered a different interpretation of their vinous offspring; at Tenuta San Guido, on the other hand, they still made Sassicaia. It is certainly less powerful and less astounding, but definitely very fine, elegant, and delightful.
