The colour is slightly less dark and brilliant than the preceding wine; the palate is less forceful and the nose is slightly, but ever so slightly, less well-defined. On the whole it is very good, without being amazing. It seems a bit uncontrolled, but any wine would struggle if compared with the ’99.
