A legend that ushered Italian wines made with Bordeaux grapes on to the international scene. A very bright red color, although the concentration can be relative, a well-expressed bouquet of red fruit, with assorted light notes, spice and just a touch of black pepper to make it even more intriguing. The taste is nice and firm and reminded me of a more accommodating year, bolder than wines from a hot season. Its fabric is anything but banal with, among other things, a nice acidity that boosts its drinkability. A sumptuous DR0P, as Sassicaia has accustomed us to, for the joy of our palate and despair of our wallets.
