Cernilli sang me the praises of the 1998; I wouldn’t mind asking him: “…why not this one then?”. I really don’t know what more you can expect from a wine that is already so fleshy and powerful on both the nose and palate: it is very persistent indeed, deep, lively, balsamic and simply overwhelming.
