Sassicaia 1993

This was another of the day’s great surprises: one of the finest versions of Sassicaia in the last few years. The colour is a rich, intense and iridescent red. The nose shows no sign of any vegetal notes: it is broad, concentrated and complex. The palate offers a singularly taut style: it is vibrant and joyful, supple and complex. Its evolution is exciting and exuberant with its spicy, pepper-like sensations with a very faint grilled note on the finish. A truly monumental version.
