Another surprise, the product of a year that elsewhere in Tuscany was truly disappointing. This Sassicaia has a concentrated, ruby-garnet color with a brick-red edge and is still bright. The aromas are fine with scents, which are understandably a bit evolved, of sour cherry jam and tamarind along with notes of leather. The mouthfeel is full and balanced and has a great, pleasing sensation and tannins that are sweet and fine. The persistence is excellent and the concentration good.
