100% Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo), fermented in stainless steel vats and aged for 12 months in oak barrels. A very lively, garnet-ruby color with a significant chromatic complexity and aromas of hazelnut cream, raspberry and sweet tobacco. The mouthfeel is lithe with pointy tannins and a finish that is distinctly citrusy and balsamic with notes of sweet licorice. It is difficult to understand how many years it will stay like this or whether it may even get better. A particularly approachable wine. Valtellina at your fingertips.
