A very dry and hot year. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Carmenère, 10% Merlot. Matured in French oak barriques that are both new and used two and three times. An intense and lively garnet color. The bouquet is sunny and wrapping with notes of blood orange and a smoky hint. The warm, bold and rich mouthfeel has distinct tannins, more medicinal than balsamic. A “collaborative effort”: Tachis making the wines, Ferrini handling the blend.
Bottles produced: 81,059; 3,870 half-bottles; 4,880 magnums; and 199 double magnums.
