In this panorama of excellence, I was totally bewitched by this Riecine di Riecine, a captivating Sangiovese, extremely elegant and, while still young, a wine that already has a perfect balance that made it fresh and profound. The bouquet was intriguing with its balsamic notes of licorice, the pulpiness of red fruit and delicate spices. The first vintage produced was 2010 and it was named after the estate because the wine represents its true soul as well as the personality of the enologist and his passion for the Burgundy style, which is particularly evident in the aroma. The mouthfeel, on the other hand, has all the essence of Sangiovese. The grapes are maniacally selected and are still pressed by women’s feet to ensure a soft pressing and preserve the charm of a tradition from a bygone era.
