This grape has historically represented the Veneto and Friuli and in this case does so in an exemplary way. Only stainless steel is used in making the wine that macerates on the lees for 10-14 days. Its characteristic, impenetrable ruby-red color has purple nuances while the aroma has a dark soul with its bouquet of small dark fruits like wild blackberry and currant, licorice and a vegetal note. The lovely mouthfeel has distinct yet quality tannins that are well-integrated into the wine’s bold structure which has a pleasing freshness. Profound and very persistent, this wine never loses its harmony and balance.
