A cool and gradual growing season produced a wine much appreciated by producers (and consumers). This vintage has a transparent garnet-purple color and a floral-fruity aroma with scents of fruit, geranium and green peppercorn. The tannins are more profound than in the wines of 2015 and 2014 and the finish is flavorful with notes of aromatic herbs. With a breathing the mouthfeel obtains a real kick of salt. This is perhaps the best of the lot in regard to agility and completeness.
