The garnet-purple color here is younger and a little more pronounced than that of the 2013 and the nose is staggered, opening with an almost intoxicating note of white truffle followed by those of cola and marjoram, all which diminish with breathing. The mouthfeel is complete, peppery as always and with a deep finish. The middle of the mouth lacks contrast and this may be due to bottle aging.
