A blend of 65% Pinot Noir (15% red wine from grapes of Montagne de Reims) and 35% Chardonnay of Côte des Blanc. The wine-making, as for all Pol Roger champagne, takes place in controlled temperature stainless steel vats, with malolactic fermentation. After 7-year on the yeast the sugar dosage is at 8g /l. The vintage 2008 has been a year of grace, with great freshness in the grapes and good maturity. The Rosé benefits a vital and crisp red fruit heart, with pomegranate, red currant and raspberry, with hints of wisteria, lavender and rose. The mouth has a joyous dynamism with a delicate and precise structure, thanks to a balsamic touch of tannins with orange, Szechwan pepper berries and rooibos tea in the long and savory finish. A freshness, that suggests a nice evolution potential.
