A blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay from around 20 Grand and Premier Cru villages with the grapes selected based on their expressive potential and complexity with aging. After sitting on the lees for almost eight years, the wine was disgorged with a surprising dosage of 10g/l. It was surprising because it resulted in a generous Champagne with a vibrant freshness. The fruit element remains central but here it has acquired an uncommon refinedness with notes of dried fruit and sweet citrus like citron and bergamot which give it backbone and elegance. Its mentholated and iodine nuances usher in a graceful and savory body with smoky hints and a patisserie richness of hazelnut cream and salted caramel butter in the finish, which has a seductive melody while maintaining tension and vivacity.
