Made from Montepulciano grapes, the wine ages in barriques for 24 months. Opi is a tasty and striking Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and has a ruby color and a sumptuous yet dynamic structure. The bouquet is spicy with whiffs of pepper and leather that accompany scents of juicy and ripe fruit. The wine’s style is modern but does not seek to pander and the mouthfeel is full and soft, with a nice freshness and integrated tannins. The finish is long, tasty and spicy.
