The grapes for this Fiano were picked during the first ten days of November and the wine ferments and ages in 25hl Alsace battles before aging a further six months in the bottle. The wine has a straw-yellow color with gold reflections and an assorted aroma with scents of chamomile, grapefruit, wild fennel, medicinal herbs and saffron. The mouthfeel has a strong acidic backbone that makes it taut and vertical, thus balancing the opulent texture. It is also saline and has an excellent drinkability and closes with a long, smoky aftertaste. A subtle and elegant wine made with a masterful use of wood.
