Made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with a little 'addition'of Cabernet Franc, this is an extraordinary version of Sassicaia. It has an intense and lively ruby color, nicely concentrated. The aroma is already complex, the fruity notes of blueberry are evident, as are those of spice and a touch of leather, with scents of graphite in the background. The flavor is taut, very elegant, with fine tannins just hinted at, comparable to those of the great Pauillac wines but with a greater silkiness and a wrapping body that lead to a finish that while subtle is extremely long.
