His Amarone is a legend and this vintage 2006 is truly convincing. A very dark and dense ruby color, typical scents of raisined Corvina grapes, then vanilla and sweet spices, on a background of tobacco and cacao. The flavor is explosive, intense, profound. It is still a very young wine and will improve with decades of age.
