Francesco Paolo Valentini, a great winemaker as was his father Edoardo, offers us a real masterpiece of crafted wine-making. His Trebbiano d'Abruzzo 2007 has a golden-yellow color and a bouquet that in part is still fruity, with notes of annurca apple and wild flowers, slight scents of green olive paste and Regina Claudia plumbs. Subtle, elegant, almost biting to the tongue, where a salty acidity, tartaric, dominates and makes the wine essential, without any baroqueness and totally committed to describing a grape and territory with class and lightness. One of the best great Mediterranean whites of all time. It will age well for at least 30 years. For me this wine was a 100/100.
