This is one of the historic achievements of Silvia Imparato, a photographer who became a winemaker for which we true wine lovers will always be grateful considering the joy she has given our taste buds. A blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with minor amounts of Merlot and Aglianico make this an authentic Italian Saint Emilion and I have never tasted a Monteverano that has not been splendid. It still has a luminous red color with only a few orange hues on the edge, due more to coquetry than age. The bouquet is of wilted rose, wild flowers, small red fruit and damp rocks with a magnificent balsamic touch. The silk mouthfeel is very elegant with caressing “feminine” tannins.
