The color and structure of this vintage was similar to the 2001, while the aroma opened on a more feral note, more musky fur and less coffee liqueur, without ever becoming too rustic. What stood out was the amazing sweetness of the fruit at the center of the mouth. The finish was rotund in pure Valentini style. This has another 30 years of life ahead of it but is already wonderful now.
