Made from Durello grapes, the wine initially macerates on the skins for several days before maturing and aging in part in stainless steel vats and in part in barrels without any addition of sulfites. The wine has a golden color with amber reflections and an extremely open, braze and expansive bouquet typical for this type of white, but also clean with its aromas of dried yellow flowers, and metallic/smoky notes (ash and graphite). Following its citrus attack, the flavor echoes the aromas and is amplified by notes of pistachio and peach peel. The tannins are ‘sandy’, typical for this wine, but not rustic and the finish is full but not too long with an acidity that exalts the tannins.
Do not drink this cold. At the table it lends itself best to rustic dishes but can easily accompany anything. Even people who do not like this type of wine will like this one.
