Despite the year being one that will not be remembered for it quality, this wine’s concentration, the producer’s trademark, is amazing. Its red color is unusually intense and light has difficulty penetrating it. The aroma is explosive and even a bit stupefying with its component of overripe marasca cherry under spirits, a prune full of texture and an unbridled balsamic aspect. Breathing brings this all out even further with embarrassing intensity. The mouthfeel is saturating, upheld by ferocious tannins and an unmatched fullness. The style is truly unique, after tasting his wines it is difficult to do justice to others.
