An historic Italian wine that has been at the top for decades. It is always exciting to open a bottle because it is impossible not to fall under its spell.
Almost embarrassingly young, the color of the wine is not too intense but those familiar with this wine know it will maintain this color unchanged for decades. The characteristic aromas are unmatchable, recognizable year after year and all that changes is the intensity and assortment of the scents. In such a splendid vintage the bouquet is teaming with notes of raspberry jam, coconut and crushed dog rose. The balsamic sensations are almost medicinal as are is the splendid assortment of herbs and spices. While already impressive, the intensity will only increase with age. The mouthfeel is tight, complex and elegant yet very bold with fine, thick tannins. Fresh, broad and powerful, this wine will never be forgotten by those lucky enough to have had the privilege of experiencing its magnificence.
