As always the color is a fascinating red purple which is anything but concentrated, solar and glowing. The bouquet, even if slightly closed, seems to announce, even though the semitones are not explosive, a critical mass of unequaled complexity, officinal herbs and a chilling hint of incense. The taste, though austere and upright in this phase, was gluttonous and captivating, angry in its disappointment of not being totally enjoyable because of its disarming young age. Potentially this wine could age a century, thanks to its bold tartness and thick tannins. Lovers of Confortino would weep over this infanticide. Based on its taste today...
