A great winemaker, a great wine. The color is relatively pale, giving the impression of not being exceptionally consistent. But what is fantastic is how dense it is to the senses. The nose is stimulated by small bramble berries, the usual impalpable spices, notes of ripe fruit, watermelon and aloe. The flavor is wonderful, perhaps the best Italy can put in a glass, with a tannic fabric that is almost artistic, brushstrokes on taste buds that are never satiated, while the finish goes on for kilometers.
