Le Roi, no two ways about it. Even for a year that is not apparently inclined to sensory hyperbole, this bottle comes out a true champion. The color is almost transparent, lunar, without any blinding headlights but suffused in a cotton wool of discreet reflections. The nose starts slow with typical pansy, wild strawberry, mineral. Very articulated, it has an exciting progression in the glass, for both its mobility and variability. It evolves in an evermore layered way, on top come ripe red fruit and a light citrus, to wind up with an amazing, captivating sensation of watermelon. The taste is a killer, fresh, elegant and balanced. Needless to say, the finish is infinite.
