Mirabella is an estate with a long history in Franciacorta that began in the 1980s when a group of businessmen and professionals from Brescia pooled together their forces and vineyards for the love of wine and this evolved into the production of a Franciacorta without sulfites. The estate’s declaration of intent states that their goal is to ensure their Franciacorta is recognizable in a world that is becoming overcrowded with bubbly. And they succeeded with this rosé that is a blend of 40%, Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Bianco and 30% Pinot Noir. It has an intense pink color and a very elegant aroma of raspberry and violets on a background of touches of apple juice and chalky notes. The mouthfeel is gratifying with a nuance of light rhubarb which distinguishes the aromatic profile, a nice complexity from a pleasing mineral verticality and a long and distinct finish that closes with the intriguing freshness of grapefruit.
