A complicated year that saw a late spring and a rainy summer and demanded more work. The result, however, is splendid, a wine with a young but not opaque ruby color and an aroma of prune and cocoa beans and a mouthfeel that is exquisite at the center, although the tannins tend to hold the wine back. The long persistence has floral notes.
