If this was not the wine of the day it came real close. The unnaturally red color has only some orange nuances on the edge. The bouquet is an explosion of balsamic sensations, holly, tanned leather and lots of spice. The pepper is abundant as are the sensations of blood in the background. The mouthfeel is still taut thanks to an epic yet not invasive acidity that is in perfect balance within a structure of unique elegance. The fine and thick tannins have by now settled but tactilely lift everything to a higher level. A wine dreams are made of.
