This Morellino reserve is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the vineyard the wine is named after. It is one of the closest to Montalcino and soil there has rough sand and clay, pebbles and is well-drained. The Terenzi family and their enologist consultant Beppe Caviola were so impressed by this 25-hectare vineyard that they bought in 2009. The wine this cru produces is a bit unusual for Maremma with its incredible depth. It is a spicy, intense and full-bodied wine which fills the mouth with elegance and ends with a wrapping finish.
