Sangiovese matured for 12 months in 58hl wood vats and barriques. A ruby-garnet color and aromas of underbrush, humus, tobacco and coffee. The rich mouthfeel is balsamic and elegant with very fine tannins and pleasing smoky sensations that enrich the finish.
A paradigmatic wine from a winery that turned the area of Torgiano into one of winemaking excellence thanks to a top entrepreneur like Giorgio Lungarotti who earned Umbria its first DOC classification in 1968 (Torgiani DOC) and its first DOCG one in 1990 (Torgiano Rosso Riserva).
