A blend of 65% Sangiovese and 30% Canaiolo and 5% Ciliegiolo that today has an orange color with brick reflections. The bouquet is intense, evolved and complex with distinct notes of licorice that gradually give way to those of cinchona, dried and candied fruit, bitter orange marmalade, a hint of soya sauce, dried fruit preserved in alcohol, nutmeg and incense. The mouthfeel is soft, rounded and still a tad lively as well as taut despite its age with a synergy between the acidity and salinity, the authentic backbone of a great wine that embodies Giorgio Lungarotti’s vision of what a long-life wine should be.
