The Letrari family estate is managed by the volcanic Lucia and while it produces a slew of wines, its style is best expressed by its reserves that sit long in the lees to become full and intense sparkling wines. This Riserva Dosaggio Zero is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir that remains 60 months on the lees. It has a fine effervescence and a rich aroma of quince apple and white tea, tamarind and buttered bread. The mouthfeel has a pleasing acidity with notes of walnut and bergamot in the finish.
