A blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% chardonnay made from grapes grown on vines planted between 1965 and 1970. After fermenting in barrels for around nine months, the wine was bottled on July 16, 2012, sat on the lees for 44 months and then disgorged in March 2016 without the addition of any sugar dosage thus making it a Brut Nature.
The wine has a luminous, straw-yellow color and a fine effervescence. The iridescent aroma has fresh notes of tangerine and talcum, cardamom and white currant and mint with a hint of oatmeal cookie. The mouthfeel is vibrant and thirst-quenching with a dry and pronounced progression and a sharp finish softened only by the notes of candied lemon peel. A somber wine even if the acidity can make it a b it scratchy.
