An authentic champion with characteristics so unusual that it ranks among the best white wines in the world, thanks to the inspired hand of the producer, an excellent year and a unique cru. The wine’s golden color is still streaked with green reflections underscoring its bold youth. The aroma is still explosive not only because of its intensity as much as its complexity with scents of grapefruit, gorse and linden flower, while the spice component is bewitching as is the suffused balsamic one. The flavor is consistent with the bouquet and the tension in the mouthfeel only eases after drinking the wine and it has stimulated all one’s taste buds with incredible salinity and smokiness together with an arsenal of gunpowder. An epic wine that already ranked very high with critics when it came out and today, more than then, deserves such praise.
