Made from Barbera grapes. The vineyard was planted in 1948 and the bottles produced by almost a hectare are just 3,000. It has a bright and intense ruby color and an enveloping bouquet dominated by floral notes of violet with evident fruity scents of raspberry, black currant and prune. There are some spicy and slightly balsamic accents in the background with a delicate component of new wood. The attack has a classic Barbera tartaric acidity but it is very integrated into the wine's body, which is rich and velvety and closes warm and very persistent. If it is not one of the best of its kind is certainly comes close.
