La Fornace Brunello di Montalcino 2008

Young Fabio Gianetti's small winery on the eastern side of Montalcino continues to grow. This Brunello 2008 is simply delicious. It has an intense ruby color while the bouquet is rich with classic fruity scents, some floral accents and blackberries that are not too ripe.
The flavor is intense with a nice acidic component and young yet excellent tannins that do not disturb but accompany the progression. The finish is intense with slight spicy and fruity scents, yellow peach and ripe pomegranate.
