This vintage, on the other hand, was very, very good, I'd say almost perfect. It unites alcoholic boldness with an exaggerated yet elegant fruit, a great freshness and an intriguing series of scents that entice the drinker to inhale such a rush of sensations, which include, once the wine has breathed a bit, a very clear note of licorice. The taste is on the same level with nice, properly placed tannins which are present but measured with extreme precision. Truly a great wine, who knows how much better it will get with age.
