The level of alcohol here is clearly too strong. This was the result of a very hot and particularly dry season that produced a wine that was not very balanced and closes with a slightly bitter taste. Perhaps it would have tasted better had this been drunk alone but next to the other vintages it did not come off well at all. Nevertheless, it is not a bad wine with nice notes of dried fruit and oriental spices which, however, are not sufficient to make it in any way inspiring.
