The Montepulciano grapes are from a select vineyard and the wine ages for 14-18 months in new French and Slovenian oak barrels. The color is an impenetrable, dark ruby and the bouquet has intense notes of vanilla along with those of marasca cherry, sweet tobacco and coffee and some balsamic hints. The mouthfeel is persistent, warm, full-bodied and harmonious and has great personality.
