It is not easy to talk about this wine also because it does not exist. We have already written about it here, and make sure you read the comments carefully. In theory it is a pure Sangiovese Chianti which is so astonishingly good and has such integrity that it leaves you floored, also because it is 24 years old. This is absolutely one of the best wines I have ever tasted and thus it is difficult to describe but I will try. The color is a bold and splendid ruby, the bouquet one of ripe berries and fresh flowers, while the mouthfeel is on target, full, saline, rewarding and solar with thick and silky tannins. It is a wine to drink and drink again, never stopping. I’m sure I will remember it for as long as I live! This a wine that will make those who pontificate that Sangiovese and the use of barriques do not mix repent.
