Il Poggio Riserva 2006

A mostly Sangiovese wine with a 10% addition of Canaiolo and Colorino that aged in French barrels for 20 months. It has a consistent and lightly garnet ruby color while the aromas are very clear and clean with notes of blond tobacco and underbrush, a touch of cola and some cherry and peppery spice. The flavorful mouthfeel has great class with settled tannins, a medium texture and a lovely and supporting acidity. The finish is also full of class.
