This by now classic wine is made from only Negroamaro grapes and ages in barriques for around a year. It has an intense ruby-garnet color and a complex aroma. There are warm fruity notes of wild strawberry jam along with those of Mediterranean herbs, both fresh and dry, and a balsamic streak of mint and chocolate on a background of ripe prunes. The mouthfeel is bold and warm and upheld by vigorous yet quality tannins and an acidity that defines its identity, while the finish is intense and creamy.
