A blend of Piedirosso, Aglianico, Sciascinoso and other grapes that ferments in stainless steel. Gragnano is classified as a naturally sparkling wine and as such its effervescence has a lower atmospheric pressure of 1.5 compared to the 3-3.5 atmospheric pressures of other bubblies. The term ‘natural’ refers to the fact that the effervescence is created naturally through fermentation.
The wine has a ruby color and a lively effervescence while the intense aroma has scents of plum, strawberry and geraniums. The mouthfeel is fresh and saline with a good persistence and pleasing flavor. A wine to drink cold, like a white wine. Annual production: 4,000 bottles.
