(Harvest between September 15 and 20, bottled in May 1995, disgorged in January 2016, dosage 4g/l). The product of a hot harvest with the grapes clearly ripening ahead of time even with well-distributed rainfall. The wine underwent only partial malolactic fermentation to avoid butter notes and Ruben Larentis said that when it was disgorged it seemed “too thin” in regard to the style of the 1990s and for this reason they initially considered giving it a dosage of 10g/l. The magnum version expresses an interesting simplicity also through the dosage even if it is broader. This vintage is perhaps less profound than the others due to the enigmatic harvest. It has a slightly lactic, yogurt note, along with those of fresh almond and peppery spice as well as a resinous and balsamic sensation. The profile of the mouthfeel has no high points but it does have a nice citrusy freshness and a soft finish of aromatic herbs.
