    A vivid ruby-garnet color. With this vintage the volcanic soil makes its statement, not so much for its presumed capacity to transmit flint or smoky notes as much as maintaining a balance even in extreme years. The aroma is not that intense and plays a lot on notes of dark fruit, while the palate is rich with tannins that are evident but do not dry. Overall, a very compact wine that still needs to relax and thus needs time.
