A slightly garnet and opaque ruby color and a ‘dark’, austere aroma with notes of cinchona and rhubarb, while the mouthfeel is ‘cold’, like a Bordeaux, with amazingly refreshing tannins and a finish of cassis and ground coffee. In the finish the wine ‘transcends’ and with ample breathing more Mediterranean notes of marjoram emerge. A masterpiece.
