Here the blend percentages change with more Merlot (90%) and less Sangiovese (5%) and Petit Verdot (5%). The color is a luminous, transparent ruby with nice consistency. In the bouquet the initial impact is that of fruit - sour cherry, blackberry and blood oranges - which is then followed by a smoky spiciness with scents of toasted tobacco, cloves, cumin and pepper, while in the background there is a floral component and a touch of aromatic herbs. The taste is warm, pungent and bold with a return of fruit and spice, a wonderful acidity nicely in balance with tannins that do not sting but are dense and elegant. This vintage is already good and easy to drink.
